mail@jonathanallenstudio.com About Me After graduating high school here in Austin, I asked for turntables to start my career as a DJ. I got a Nikon camera instead. I soon took my first photo class at the University of Texas while studying computer science. It turns out I much preferred taking pictures to spending countless hours in the dark computer lab pouring over tedious code. A semester later, I ended up at Austin Community College studying photography for three years, graduating in 2007. For the past three years, I've worked as an assistant, retoucher and photographer -- a career which has carried me to the many great cities across the country. I'm lucky my parents had the sense to buy me a camera. I'm living in Austin and traveling to Chicago frequently, though I yearn for the sunny beaches of Miami. When I'm not taking pictures, I enjoy cooking in my tiny kitchen and going on late night bike rides. |
